PLEASE NOTE: European Lymphatic Drainage Massage is NOT the same as Manual Lymphatic Drainage. European Lymph Drainage Massage is for relieving water retention, relaxation and stress relief puposes only. If you have a medical condition such as Lymphedema, or swelling of the lymph nodes and vessels, you will require Manual Lymph Drainage from an RMT who is specially trained in this treatment.
This treatment starts with a European Lymph Drainage Massage, which is a light pressure massage which consists of slow, gentle, rhythmic effleurage hand movements. It increases circulation, relieves stress, induces a state of deep relaxation, and most importantly, stimulates the lymphatic system, which assists the body in removing excess fluids and toxis and also boosts the immune system.
After the "ELD" Massage is complete, Jennifer will perform a Reiki treatment.
Reiki is a ancient technique that is generally used to reduce stress and promote relaxation thereby triggering the body's innate healing system. It is administered by Jennifer holding her hands a couple of inches above the body and channeling life force energy to the chakra centers that are located along at various locations on the body. Reiki is based on the idea that life force energy flows through us and is what give us life. If your "life force energy" is depleted, then we are more likely to get sick. If your "life force energy" is high, we are more capable of being in an optimum state of physical, mental, spiritual and emotional health.
